we got back yesterday from being in new york for a little under a week for work and a little play and we are struggling this morning not to be a little depressed. our foodie travels have taken us to some amazing places, and this trip was no different. although photography was priority one, food and a little prop shopping was a close second. most of our nights started with drinks at the hotel we were staying at, the thompson les. their bar was so amazing, with a dozen or so hand muddled drinks, all equally as tasty. our dinners took us to some amazing places such as the absolutely adorable hundred acres. from a mushroom mac and cheese to an out of this world pork chop, this soho spot was so good we had to go twice. a hundred acres sister spot, cookshop was equally as great. a ny strip topped with blue cheese and chives, and a suckling pig that would melt your soul. and we had to return to otto, mario batali's casual pizza stop. we were here a little while back, and loved it, so we returned for some more tasty treats. as we traveled around, breakfasts from clinton st. baking company, lunchs from gramercy tavern and the shake shack and drinks from the amazing speak easy esque little branch, our plate was full, no pun intended. and if the food wasnt enough, a little shopping from stores such as global table, a prop stylists dream, and ochre, a wonderful home store in soho that we could move right into. thanks to all the people we met and all the work that was done, and thanks to the amazing and talented jen for making this trip all that it was.
